Online craps in Ireland
Craps is the dice game from American casinos, and online it is much easier to learn than the busy tables suggest. A small number of bets give you some of the best odds in the casino; the rest of the layout is best ignored.
The bets that matter
- Pass Line: wins on a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll, loses on 2, 3 or 12; any other number becomes the point, which must be rolled again before a 7. House edge 1.41%.
- Don't Pass: the opposite bet, at 1.36%.
- Odds bet: an extra bet behind the Pass Line once a point is set, paid at true odds with no house edge.
- Come and Don't Come: work like Pass and Don't Pass, but can be placed on any roll.
Bets to avoid
Proposition bets in the centre of the table, such as Any Seven or the hardways, pay well but carry house edges from about 9% to over 16%.
