Casino table games in Ireland
Table games are the classics of the casino floor, played online against a random number generator at your own pace. Compared with slots they have fewer titles but clearer rules and, in most cases, a lower house edge.
The main table games
- Blackjack: around 0.5% edge with basic strategy.
- Roulette: 2.7% on a European wheel, lower on French.
- Baccarat: about 1.06% on the Banker bet.
- Craps: 1.41% on Pass Line, lower with odds bets.
- Poker variants: Casino Hold'em, Three Card Poker and Caribbean Stud against the house.
Digital or live?
Digital (RNG) tables are faster, allow lower stakes and can be played in demo mode. Live tables are slower and more social, with a real dealer. The rules and house edge are usually similar; check each game's paytable.
Table games and bonuses
Most casinos count table games at 10% or less towards wagering requirements, and some exclude them completely. If you mainly play table games, a welcome bonus may not be worth taking.
